About Stephen

Stephen attended college at Indiana State University and majored in Art, and was especially interested in sculpture and welding. He went on to perfect his welding skills at Ivy Tech School of Technology and received his welding certification. Stephen met Carolyn while at ISU in an art class and following their marriage they lived in the rural community where Stephen worked on several farms. He developed a love of the land and an appreciation of conservation and energy saving homes. He remembered studying about Geodesic Domes while in school and had in fact had the opportunity to meet Buckminster Fuller when he spoke at Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College in the late 60s. In the early 80s Stephen began building dome homes and in 1984 built a dome for he and Carolyn.
